Louis Bacon Moore Asks For Sandy Donations

The Moore Charitable Foundation has put out a plea for everyone to donate what they can to the Mayor's Fund in order to help restore New York following Hurricane Sandy. The charity has a good reason to support the fund; not only because of the humanity aspect, but because they work relentlessly to preserve the land and its habitat. This is crucial for the development of America's plantlife, and to converse the wildlife which rely on it.

The devastating effects of the storm has left many homes ruined. Whilst normally The Moore Charitable Fund looks to support waterways and other land mass, the people of New York are in dire straits.

Louis Bacon has personally requested people give what they can. Although he was born in North Carolina, New York is his home.  The Mayor's Fund is accepting all donations in order to supply initial aid to New York residents; this has been in the form of clean drinking water, baby formula, diapers, batteries, toiletries, dry towels, and protective gloves. It's hard to believe that when speaking of such aid packages it's New York that is receiving them.

Whilst the initial money used has been crucial in restoring power to the city, and helping to clear out as much of the flooding as possible, there's still a long way to go to helping all of those who have lost their homes.

All donations are being used toward relief efforts, either directly or being split between the various aid organisations who are helping clean up after Sandy.
